As part of our BuyLocal initiative and overall strategy for economic growth, the goal of ILoveWindward – Shop Where You Love is simply to connect the businesses on the Windward side with the buying power of our local community.

ILoveWindward is intended to be a multi-year program that supports and strengthens our businesses and local jobs and keeps more dollars spent in our community. Registered merchants are encouraged to offer special offers or discounts exclusive to ILoveWindward.com consumers.

Thousands of  I Love Windward – SHOP WHERE YOU LOVE consumer bags are being distributed to consumers, driving them to support registered businesses and take advantage of special offers and discounts offered on this website.  Consumers will present their I Love Windward bags to the merchant when making their purchase to benefit from their published offer.

Merchant BENEFITS

This program is open to any retail, dining, entertainment, hospitality and service industry business located on Windward Oahu that is legally registered for business and holds a valide GE tax license.  Each merchant member will receive:

  • Listing on our searchable website
  • Opportunity to contribute articles
  • Marketing toolkit including a window sticker, bumper sticker, and a materials with information to display to your staff and customers
  • Unique media and social networking/advertising opportunities on Facebook, Craigslist and Twitter
  • Media and Marketing opportunities
  • Those who choose to sell bags receive them at our cost and will sell them at the suggested retail price
  • FREE 6 month account with the new  www.MyHawaiiCoupons.com courtesy of the Kailua Chamber of Commerce.

PROGRAM COST and APPLICATION DETAILS:

Membership: FREE!
Yes it is FREE to local merchants offering an exclusive special.  All you have to do is list your business on this site with your valid special, and honor it when a consumer presents their bag!  SIMPLE.

Bag Distributors:

To become a distributor, contact Laurie Rodriguesz at 261-7997.   Upon signing a net 30 agreement(for those that qualify), you can pick up your bags from the KCOC visitors center, no upfront cost necessary.  The bags will be evenly distributed amongst participants.  Bags are offered to you at cost and you must sell them at our suggested retail price.

At the end of each 30 day period, you must pay for the bags you sold.  You have the option to return unsold bags or roll them over to the next month.  Distributors will be chosen by first come first serve.  We will continually be reordering bags and will do our best to give all businesses who want to sell bags, an opportunity to do so.
