WHAT IS THE ILoveWindward – Shop where you love PROGRAM?
As part of the mission statements for the Kailua Chamber of Commerce and the Kaneohe Business Group, the goal is simply to connect the businesses with the buying power of our local community. This BUY LOCAL program is intended to be a multi-year program that supports and strengthens Windward businesses and local jobs and keeps more dollars spent in our community.
The ILoveWindward program is a group of businesses, community groups and citizens in the Kailua, Kaneohe, and Waimanalo area (otherwise known as Windward Oahu), working together to support a healthy community economy through education and marketing.
SPECIAL OFFERS AND DISCOUNTS
Registered merchants offer special offers or discounts exclusive to ILoveWindward.com consumers. Thousands of reusable bags are being distributed to consumers, driving them to support registered businesses and take advantage of ILoveWindward.com special offers and discounts. Consumers will present their ILoveWindward bags to the merchant when making their purchase to get exclusive savings.

This program is brought to you by the Kailua Chamber of Commerce and Kaneohe Business Group. It is 100% run and supported by volunteers and donations from the community. The I Love Windward bag and discount card is an effort to sustain our community by promoting buying local and proceeds from the bags go to the merchants selling them. The merchants simply pay back the sponsors for the cost which is rolled back into supplying more bags. All the merchants have to do is provide a discount to shoppers.
The price of the bag and card is set so that using it once it pays for itself. Shoppers can get significant savings to many windward businesses. If you have ever benefited from the Entertainment book or a coupon book, you will benefit from this.
